Quality Handmade Icons and Crafts
These wooden icons differ from the old-style icons found in the “Greek Imports” section in that they are hand made by the Sisters, and have a refined, aged look and unique, ornate decorative elements. Among the beautiful antique features of these icons are a rich, dark stained wood finish; golden metallic hand-painted accents; wooden and/or metal moldings, tacks and appliques; textured backgrounds; hand-engraved borders; and brocade fabric trims, all of which depend on the icon design. All icons are finished with a satin varnish for added protection.
Please note: Decorative embellishments (moldings, tacks, appliques, trims, etc.) shown in this section are subject to market availability, and thus the Sisters may need to make comparable/similar substitutions. Also, several of the Old-style designs can be made in custom sizes, but they may require a longer processing time
